There are just so many reports, metrics and functions which might not appear to make any sense. However, that’s just how it is with Google Webmaster Tools. It is a vital tool for just about every blogger out there. Make sure to understand the basics before jumping into the tool.

Now, Google has been trying to change the user interface of Google Search Console and it has launched a new UI which is being run along with the old UI. It is due to this that users have experienced Index Coverage Issues and it has become a huge problem.

What is the Google Search Console Feature Index Coverage Report?
Before delving into how Index Coverage Issues can be resolved, one needs to know what the Index Coverage feature of Google Search Console is. The new Index Coverage report is one of the most powerful features.  It provides users with an overview of all the pages that are on a website which Google bots crawl and index. Normally, Google would send an email about the index coverage issues direct to your inbox.

Since Google started redesigning websites for the new Beta SC. Now, if you didn’t get the email yet, then you should wait as you would get an email.  It is possible for your site to experience the following Index Coverage Issues for fixing Google Search Coverage Issue later on.

1. 5XXX Server Error
Whenever a page is unable to load, servers normally get a 500 level error. There are other issues which might be causing it as well.  It could also be due to a brief server disconnection.

2. Redirect Error
Redirect errors are quite common when a primary URL gets changed several times. It happens due to the fact that redirects the redirect to redirects. In order to resolve the issue, one would need to use an internal link and updating it.

3. Submitted URL has Been Blocked by Robots.Txt
Another common error which might occur is when the page is submitted for indexing, it would get blocked by the robots.txt from indexing. It happens due to the robot.txt file code which informs Google that it isn’t allowed to access the page and index it. If you want to resolve the issue or avoid it in the first place, then just test it using robots.txt for better access.
 
4. Submitted URL is Marked No Index
Your website can appear as private no index pages such as a gated blog. It happens when there is a no index directive which might be due to an HTTP response or a Meta tag. Simple remove the HTTP response or the no index tag to avoid this. It is quite easy to do this and it doesn’t take much time.
